- Stretched out, ulcerated tubal folds. Lumen filled with pus.
- Oedema and cellular infiltrate of the mucosa and wall structures (neutrophils, eosinophils, lymphocytes, plasma cells, histiocytes, fibroblasts)
- Peritoneum covered by fibrin and neutrophils.
- This infection is caused by e. coli.
