50-year-old male with unclear abdominal symptoms and macrohaematuria. Left nephrectomy.
- Large area of necrotic tumour with bleeding parts
- The maintained tumour tissue contains a solid growth of lightly shaded tumour cells similar in structure to plant cells which contain fat and glycogen.
- Some areas imitate tubular structures.
- The interstitium is rich in capillaries and poor in stroma. In between there are large scarred septa.
- Note the tumour invation of the veins.
