65-year-old male. Healthy until 3 weeks ago. Then headache, personality change, sporadic convulsions. The CT scan shows large tumour in left fronto-temporal area. Autopsy revealed a large diffuse infiltrating tumour in the left frontotemporal lobe with multicoloured cut surface. Yellow sections (necrosis) with solid, grey-whitish tumour tissue as well as several haemorrhagic foci.
- The tumor is polymorphous, in some parts relatively rich in cells.
- Areas and lines of tumour tissue necrosis.
- Extensive vessel proliferation
- Diffuse tumour infiltration of CNS tissue
