45-year-old male, 3-year history of convulsions. 3-month history of mild unilateral symptoms and increased frequency of fits. CT shows large tumour in right frontal lobe.
- Mostly isomorphous tumour of medium cell density. The majority of tumour cells have a cytoplasmic body with shortened processes which strongly express GFAP. These are gemistocytci; (neoplastic) astrocytes.
- Beside there are small tumour cells without demarcated cytoplasm which do not express GFAP.
- No mitoses. No necrosis. No notable vessel proliferation.
