65-year-old male with painless enlargement of inguinal lymph nodes. The CT scan shows a retroperitoneal paraaortic mass. Excision biopsy of inguinal lymph node.
- Follicular structures without a lymphocytic coat can be found throughout lymph node.
- The follicular structure contain a mixture of centrocytes and varying numbers of centroblasts (vesicular nucleus with marked, often double nucleoli at the cell membrane)
Lymphoma of low-grade malignancy. The majority of cases are generalised at the time of presentation (bone marrow involvement), i.e stage IV.
