75-year-old male. Syncope. Aortic stenosis. Autopsy specimen.

Macroscopically: Tricuspid degenerative calcified aortic valve. The commissure is delicate, main calcifications are situated in valve pocket but partially extend to the edge.

- Calcification and necrotic masses distend the valve irregularly
- Blood vessels with wide lumen and thin walls surrounded by lymphocytic infiltrates
