rebound tenderness and fever. Appendectomy.
- Appendix with mesentery
- The appendix wall is thickened.
- The lumen of the appendix is filled with pus.
- The mucosa is ulcerated to a large extent.
- Leukocytes can be found in all wall layers (abscess)
- There is inflammatory infiltration of the mesentery
